lowering ldl.
Some simple and easy steps that requires your attention and good willing to go on. I have grouped in two main categories for better understanding purposes: 1.Lifestyle changes or mostly know Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (TLC) 2.Nutritional supplements. 1- Lifestyle changes It’s difficult to make lifestyle changes. You’re used with them and could find difficult to change. But if you think to make these changes, this is your right way toward change. Loose weight Being overweight and having a high BMI (body mass index) is a potential risk for heart disease and at the same time for high ldl levels. It is proven that if your loose weight (even a small amount 5% to 10 %) may help you lower your ldl levels. Say no to a sedentary life ”Keep moving”- this should be your motto. Exercise will help you loose weight. At the same time may help reducing your ldl levels. I believe you may not find it difficult to perform cycling, jogging, running or swimming. May you may find one or two of them might be your favourites. So, your favorite hobbies can help you lowering ldl by up to 10 %. Other form of exercise would be walking at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise make your body muscles move, and the bad energy together with bad cholesterol will “fly” away. And you keep your heart healthy. Quit smoking Smoking can cause high cholesterol, especially ldl and its oxidized form. And this is very dangerous because this form contributes to atherosclerosis. If you decide to quit smoking, that will help in your battle of lowering ldl levels at about 5%. At the same time oxidized ldl levels will be reduced as soon as you quit smoking. Careful with your diet and food If you draw down your own daily diet plan and put in 5 serving of fruits and vegetables, that will be a great suggestion to processed snacks. At the same time fruits and vegetables are free of fat and help lowering ldl levels. It’s good that you write a diet plan with at least 2/3 of fruits and vegetables and the other 1/3 of other foods. In recent studies, if you include some ldl lowering foods in your diet, that will increase your chances to lower ldl.
